John
is the President and co-founder of TMG. His responsibilities, in
addition to directing TMG's strategic development, include
contract review and negotiation, new investigator recruitment,
site training, site SOP implementation and management, and
study-specific site selection.
John
has acted as a visiting instructor for the Humber College
post-graduate Clinical Research program, has spoken for the
Clinical Research Association of Canada, and has represented
Canadian sites internationally as a panelist at the International
Clinical Trials Conference in Washington, DC.
John
has 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to founding TMG, he was a pharmaceutical sales
representative for Hoechst Canada (now Aventis), achieving top-ten
awards on two occasions. He is a graduate of the University
of Waterloo with an honours degree in science. |

Since
joining TMG in 2000, Shawn Keown has held the position of General
Manager Operations. Shawn
is primarily responsible for new business development as well as
the ongoing day-to-day operational aspects of the organization.
He is also a key player in helping define TMG’s strategic
direction.
Prior
to TMG, Shawn worked as a Principal Consultant for the
pharmaceutical practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers (since acquired
by IBM Consulting). In
that role, Shawn successfully worked with numerous multinational
pharmaceutical companies to improve processes and help formulate
strategic decisions. He
also has experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative for
Hoechst-Roussel Canada (now Aventis).
Shawn
has also held positions at St. Michael’s Hospital and The
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Shawn
has a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University
and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Scott
is the co-founder and Vice President of Trial Management Group
Inc. Scott’s primary responsibilities with TMG include financial
operations and business development as well as contributing to the
overall operations of the company.
Prior
to TMG Scott spent over ten years working in the pharmaceutical
industry, concluding in a hospital sales representative position with
Parke-Davis (now Pfizer).
Scott
graduated from the University of Guelph with a double business
major in Management Economics.
He
is currently a member of ACRP.
